The Hodge Foundation

Why Hodge

Doing the right thing is important to us. We’ve been active in the later life market for over 50 years, and throughout that time we’ve always strived to support the communities that we operate in.

In 1962, founder Sir Julian Hodge established The Jane Hodge Foundation, launched with a gift of £2.5m in commemoration of his later mother Jane. The Hodge Foundation, as it’s now called, owns 79% of the Hodge group, including Hodge Lifetime.

Today, the Foundation supports welfare, medical, academic and educational causes. Over the past six years over £10m has been donated to a number of initiatives and projects. The Foundation does not fundraise, but instead benefits from the value created by the Hodge group.

The role of the Foundation plays an important part in defining the culture within Hodge Lifetime and what motivates us. In supporting our clients, customers and stakeholders, we’re helping good causes that are important to us.
